(I had a vague epiphany when I wrote this poem, never made sense to me, but now I know I wrote it for the PuppetMiester… this is for you love.)
always a late bloomer
could never catch the dawn
so today
the dawn came to mewalking out to the field
– in only my tee
dew tingeing my bare feet
the climate’s embrace
an ethereal breaththe sun playing hide & seek
though still high noon
ocherous horizon
basking me with sensuality
static tickles my flesh
as my hair billows up
in prayerMikal thrusts the winds
into a vigorous spiral
eyes closed – still can smell
the earth’s sex
as a finger from the heavens
descends to probe
assailingly slow
then with such friction
making us howl in ecstasyspreading my arms wide
Mikal pulls me to him
with a beat of his whirlwings
whispering in my ear
through a vociferous void“soar with me today…
for by the morrow
you’ll wake in a staid bed”
