// Say wha?
To my friends I am known as Tru. My rag is the source of my passionate, ravenous creative drive. My work is as random as my cyclic disposition. Currently my interests lay in computer/human interaction and 3D character and texture art. If you feel absolutely stalkerish you can read more here.

Texas Fetish Ball 2009

This year’s Fetish Ball did not quite have the outcome. First, my projects exploded into something bigger than just a couple of paintings and thus drained me of resources and time. The more my inspiration grew the more my faith that I would get the projects done on time waned. However I have a better understanding of the beast I created for myself. My faith in general that my projects will become something more than just garage shelf however are unwavering. I just need to nourish it longer :)

And avoid assholes who want to fuck things up for me.

Project #1

It started out with a mannequin I found on Ebay that I had fallen in love with. then my thoughts naturally twirled around the style of my logo and bringing it to life. The end result was the following;

1st project - Menstruosity 3D

1st project - Menstruosity 3D

It’s “supposed” to be the equivalent of a zen sandbox however it was rushed and looks quite the opposite. The paint was bought and used under another light than the true light and ended up being pink instead of red. The “shell” didn’t quite turn out as pink as I had hoped – my intentions were to use tissue paper layers over the mesh but I underestimated the drying time of the mesh material. The u-haul truck didn’t help with the sand unfortunately, either.

My plans for this piece is to revamp it, possibly starting over with the shell. Maybe that’s it, just the shell, theblack looks a little too childish to me…hmmm…

Project #2

What happened to the other half of the mannequin? Right here;

Project 2 - Start with some grass and wood..

But I so love her lips..

I am definitely going to develop this project further, however it does need to be decided whether I will put it in that big box you see, or plant her in a vase/pot thing which I have yet to find one I liked.

Project #3

And last but not least, my smaller projects which might grow to a much larger collection;

This project will be displayed in a future post as I am properly creating and photographing the pieces.

What do you think?

What’s Cookin’

Well I had been planning this project for the Seattle Erotic Art Festival this year but due to issues at home I missed the deadline for submitting art applications. I plan on going to the festival this year as a vacation away from home but the actual art submission will just have to wait for next year.

What a damn shame I tell you, but TFB 09 is almost here and I just got my main component in the mail earlier this week – so I’m all ecstatic again :) My mother took me shopping for some extra pieces to start working on the project. It felt very refreshing….

oooh... Fragile

Texas Fetish Ball ’09 Flier

Well it’s time again for Texas Fetish Ball, (formerly known as the Dare Ware Fetish ball) and I am pumped. I think it’s high time I got involved in the scene again and stopped living my life like a mindless drone. Fucking corporate America. That’s what’s wrong with this country I tell you. Let’s hear it for the everyday local people like you and me!

I went ahead and made a quick flier in the hopes that I can go somewhere with it. Be a productive part in society.

EDIT: The results of this project can be viewed at my Behance Network profile.

To view their old flyer, see my previous post.

Texas Fetish Ball 08′

Well shelling out the few extra bucks for the vendor booth at the Texas Fetish Ball this year proved fruitful and worth the effort. Financially we broke a humble even but the feeling of satisfaction was quite invigorating. I believe we will definately do this again.

You can view my husband’s pieces up close and personal here.

We only had three, and yes I mean only three paintings but we sold all. All we have left is the stand that we constructed 4 hours before the show… see below :)
